My Story – From Burnout to Gut Repair & Vibrant Health

How I Overcame Fatigue, Hormonal Chaos, and Gut Struggles—And Now Help Others Do the Same

Hi, I’m Elita Dabrowski, a Naturopath, Nutritionist, and Functional Medicine Practitioner—but more importantly, I’m someone who’s walked the path you’re on right now.

I know what it’s like to feel burned out, bloated, and frustrated with your body—not knowing where to start, yet desperate to feel better. I’ve been there, and I found my way out. Now, it’s my mission to help you do the same.

I’ve Always Been Obsessed with Health But My Body Had Other Plans

I’ve been bio-hacking my health since I was 15, when I first stepped into a gym and discovered my passion for fitness and nutrition. In my 20s, I struggled with persistent acne and digestive issues that left me feeling self-conscious and frustrated. These challenges sparked my deep dive into gut repair and led me to explore colonic irrigation, which provided short-term relief but no lasting answers. That experience ignited my passion for finding root-cause solutions for gut health and skin repair.

By 19, I became a personal trainer, working with clients to build strength and energy. But behind the scenes, I was battling my own gut and skin struggles, which shaped my determination to uncover deeper, science-backed solutions for lasting gut repair and digestive wellness.

The Turning Point: Fixing Myself From the Inside Out

I dove into naturopathy, nutrition, and functional medicine, not just to help my children, who struggled with allergies, but to heal myself.

I tested my gut health, balanced my minerals, and optimised my DNA blueprint. The changes were life-changing. My gut repair protocol helped restore my energy, improved digestion, and cleared my skin.

Now, in my 50s, I’m thriving. I have my energy, clarity, and confidence I need to show up fully in my life. Even as I navigate the hormonal shifts of perimenopause, I’ve been able to manage these changes through the same gut repair strategies I teach my clients: balancing gut bacteria, supporting digestion, and optimising nutrient absorption.

When Skin Health Became Personal And Why I Created Biostem

My health journey didn’t stop at gut and hormones. After undergoing surgery in my 40s—a breast implant removal and lift—I faced the challenge of post-surgical scars. I realised that the available options—silicone strips and vitamin E oils—were limited and didn’t address the deeper need for hydration, repair, and barrier support during recovery.

Although I didn’t have Biostem at the time for myself, I was determined to create a product so others could feel confident they were giving their skin the best chance at healing. Partnering with a plastic surgeon, I developed Biostem Skin Cream—a science-backed formula designed to support the skin barrier, stimulate collagen, and promote hydration during recovery.

Today, Biostem isn’t just skincare, it’s trusted for surgical scars, eczema, dry skin, and barrier support, making it the perfect complement to my gut repair programs and overall health approach.
